After a twelve-month hiatus, North-West London’s EX returns to the urban music industry with an extra skill on his CV: acting. The USG rapper was given a leading role in the award-winning Channel 4 series, TOPBOY, with critics giving him high praise for his authenticity on-screen.
During his time away, EX was also busy cooking up some heat in the studio, and his new effort, ‘No Love, Get Money’, is set to dominate the clubs in coming months. The sonically-pleasing track produced by Rymez of ‘Heatwave’ (Wiley) and ‘Can You Hear Me’ (Boy Better Know), also features fellow USG member Squingy, and both lyricists take UK hip-hop to a totally new space on this cut.
‘No Love, Get Money’ is a breath of fresh air in a moody scene full of unoriginal and uninspiring lyrical content and flows and the thumping bass-line, humorous bars, and electric chorus will hold your attention all the way through – like only a true club banger can do!
The single is taken from EX's forthcoming mixtape, 'The EX Files' which will be debuting exclusively on GRM Daily. The scene needs a shake up, and EX is the man for the job.
